Prayer
Prayer rejuvenates the soul far more truly than the fountains of youth the philosophers speak of rejuvenate the body. . . . In prayer your soul . . . grows quite vigorous; in prayer . . . it recovers the vision it lost . . .; ears formerly deaf to the voice of God are open to holy inspirations, and the heart receives new strength, is animated with a courage it never felt before. . . . It is a fountain of youth.

Disaster News
Check here for requests of emergency assistance from SVdP Councils and Conferences around the world when disaster strikes.

Donations of hygiene bags for women, men and children were requested by SVdP Councils in Texas to provide victims of Hurricane Harvey.  The program is called ‘Operation Lone Star’.  St. John Vianney, St. Luke Conference and Mini Vinnies will be assembling these kits on Saturday, October 7.  If you would like to get involved, contact:
Contact St. John Vianney leaders:
Frank Schmanski:  frank@schmanski.net
Peggy Fahl:  pegfahl@gmail.com

Did you know that Conferences closest to areas where disasters have stricken are busiest after FEMA, Red Cross, and other emergency agencies have left?  They are there to continue helping the residents with food, furnishings, etc.   If you or your conference wishes to donate dollars to SVdP Disaster Services please bring or send it to the Waukesha Council and note Disaster Services in the Memo.  The Council will send one check so lessen the processing at National, and it will help us track the support that Waukesha County has provided.
